Who Can Submit: We welcome submissions from individual artists, collectives, and studios around the world.
Project Type: Your project must primarily be an Extended Reality (XR) film, immersive experience, gamified experience, narrative-driven game, or an AI-driven project. Please note, traditional linear films are not eligible for this specific section.
Completion Status: Submissions should be completed projects or highly advanced prototypes that are ready for public exhibition and can be effectively presented to an audience.
Completion Date: Projects must have been completed after January 2024.
Premiere Status (MENA Region): Your project must not have been screened publicly in the MENA region (Middle East and North Africa) before its official screening at CIFF. This means CIFF would be its MENA premiere.
Broadcast/VOD Restriction: Ideally, submissions should not have been broadcast on any TV or satellite channel or any digital platform or VOD (Video On Demand) before thfeir CIFF premiere, with the exception of other festival screenings.
Required Submission Materials
When you submit, please prepare the following to be uploaded via the official platform:
Project Title & Synopsis: A clear and compelling overview (maximum 250 words) of your project, its core concept, and the immersive technology, gamified, or AI elements you’ve used.
Artistic Statement: Describe your artistic vision, the narrative you aim to convey, and how your project aligns with the “Beyond the Screens” theme (maximum 500 words).
Technical Specifications: Detail the technologies employed, hardware/software requirements for exhibition, and any unique technical innovations (maximum 300 words). For games or AI projects, specify platforms, input methods, and minimum system requirements if applicable for a public display.
Visual Documentation: Provide links to high-quality video (Vimeo/YouTube preferred), images, or interactive demos of your project. For VR/AR/games/AI projects, a compelling 2-3 minute video walkthrough of gameplay, interactive elements, or AI behavior is essential.
Artist Bio(s) & CV: A brief biography (maximum 250 words per artist/key creator) highlighting relevant experience in new media art.
Contact Information: Include your full name, email address, phone number, and website (if applicable).

Notification of Selection: You will be notified of selection by the end of August.

Submitting your project to CIFF and its acceptance for participation implies full acceptance of all festival regulations.
